Are these DRL illegal in NSW?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/360457414...84.m1497.l2649

when you look at the photo, its white-blue-ish color.. and since blue are illegal wonder if these are ok..?
I just dont like amber DRL on mine..

If anyonehave headlights with a blue tinge to them the way that the police test this, is they put a white sheet of paper in front of the headlights and if the paper isn't white or normal halogen colour, then you're done. This goes for those NARVA / Phillips etc headlights that you can buy from auto stores, they're not meant for road use.

But in all seriousness - you'd have to be pretty unlucky to have some subtle whitish blue (8000k) lights pulled up by the police. It's mainly when people start throwing in Blue/Red/Green LED's or T10 bulbs that you start getting unwanted attention.

Also make sure the light is pointed down so that's from lower rear bar down. hopfully it aint too bright or else cops are on your ass too.

So, i would say, it's a big risk if you're going to put it on.

If they're ADR approved then the cops haven't got a leg to stand on. But your eBay bulbs wont be...

i got it from the same ebay seller in the link but its white color.

cant really tell from the photo but its actually really bright... u may say too bright?

there is a problem with installing these.. it dont fit into the housing straight away,
bulb is actually bigger than original one so I had to cut and remove the halo-looking thing in the middle of housing..
hard to explain but ill get pics up tomorrow.
and if anyone wants to have a look at these lights before they purchase them,
u can come around to macquarie or ryde area and ill be happy to show you..
I will post more pics tomorrow, too dark now..

Sorry for the bad photo editing, no photoshop at work.. deleted other cars for their privacy!

anyway that when you check your DRL, inside that red round marked area, you will see 'halo' thing i talked about before. I had to cut that out with a blade. Dont worry about small little bits that go inside, u can just vacuum it out at the end..

It looks quite funny (looks like a beehive) when lights are off but I just hate amber lights.. hehe
