86/BRZ sightings on JDM roads

It's always a treat to drive around Japan and see the different kinds of cars
I never see on my usual commute from the East Bay to San Jose, CA.
Thought I would see more 86/BRZs considering its popularity.
Couldn't take a picture of all of the ones I saw on the road, but the majority of them were BRZs.
Considering this being a rural area, perhaps that is why I didn't see more.

Route 4, Tomiya, Miyagi Prefecture

Shirakawa, Fukushima Prefecture
(But it has Hachioji, Tokyo plates)

Super Autobacs Parking Lot
Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture

A couple of older 86's owned by a friend.

Other sightings....

My friend's Daihatsu Mira racecar.

A Daihatsu Mira Gino. Didn't think it was worth mentioning.
It's a kei car which means it can't even pass kids riding tricycles,
but my friend lets me borrow his shop loaner cars for free, so I can't complain.

Here's a picture of it...along with my luggage. :P

Man those pics made me miss japan.. The kei cars "light automobile" are cars with small displacements and are tax exempt there, so pretty much alot of people own one or two and one white plate car.
how do you like driving on the other side of the road?

It's cool, the first time years ago was a bit intimidating, but I'm used to it since I used to live there and now I go twice a year either for business and/or seeing (future) in-laws. One embarrassing thing though is once I get into a car for the first time in months I sometimes hit the wipers instead of the turn signal, and as soon as I hop into a car back in the states, I make the same mistake during the first minute of driving or so.

That's not restricted to Japanese cars - my RHD Legacy has the indicator stalk on the right, while the RHD BRZ has the indicator stalk on the left!
