BRZ on Carsales

For those who want one now and are prepared to pay a $10,000 premium, you can have a WRB BRZ right now... http://www.carsales.com.au/demo/deta...-2012-13334654

Not sure what to think of this sort of thing... On the one hand I guess I don't have a problem with someone capitalising on supply and demand but it does leave a bit of a bad taste in the mouth when the markup is 25%... I wonder what Subaru Aus think of this sort of thing.

What on earth would be the point of a dealership holding a demo of a car they can't sell?

I wouldn't buy it, but I don't blame them either.

I presume that the dealer you select for delivery on the website gets something out of it, a dealer delivery charge or something? So I guess the incentive is if you have a demo, people come to drive it, will select them on the delivery order form?

They have demo's everywhere still. I cannot understand why they'd bother.

This will be sold pretty easily even if it is at a $10k mark up.
