Carr Subaru

Anyone buying their BRZ from here? They have 22 allotted with 18 already per-ordered. I'm wondering if any forum members are part of the other 17 people, me being the last one. Or anyone from Oregon in general per-ordered their BRZ yet? It seems like on these car forums the NW section is always overrun by Washington peps.

No idea. I haven't really been bugging them much. I just no it won't be over MSRP. I would deal with their internet sales department though.

Yeah I've been dealing with Vijay. He has been great to deal with so far. I just have been reading about some people on this site paying invoice... So I was checking to see how many of the future owners are on here. I wanted to see what they were told they would be paying.

Vijay said MSRP. But some people on here were making good points. The car wont be sitting on the lots costing them money. Its going right from port to the owners. They are making about $1,200 selling at invoice and an extra $1200ish selling at MSRP. That is around $2400 or close to a 10% margin.

My BRZ is on pre-order with Carr Subaru. I've been working with Ken Ebby. There has been talk of paying MSRP.

Interesting, I heard from a friend of mine that CARR was charging $+5000 mark-up on their BRZs. Maybe this was just to scare away tire kickers?

This is what I heard from my dealer at Carr Subaru.

"We are ordering these cars at MSRP and up to 5k over MSRP. Supply and demand is going to dictate the prices. Due to the limited number of cars being produced for the first year, I doubt anybody will sell these cars at Invoice or below MSRP."

So someone was willing to pay $5000 over?

Yeah that's what he told me when I bought my Legacy. I think it was his last week there. Maybe it didn't work out...

In general Carr's internet sales dept is great, but their lot sales staff is awful. The $5k markup doesn't surprise me if it came from that side of the lot.

The last email I got from Ken was on April 27th from keby123@carrsubarusoa.dealer.com.
I was told $26,265, which is MSRP + destination and delivery for a premium w/manual.

agreed, they actually told me it was a $7k mark up, but thats lot staff. after i told him i was never going to do $7k over, he lowered it to $5k over. i had no intent of dealing with him. he just caught me looking at the car.
