I was impressed that he was able to keep the Supra within striking distance.

Mmmmmm maybe. The supra is basically stock with just some camber, RS4, and brake pads/fluid. While it definitely has more power, I'm not sure it has more overall speed. At most tracks, my BRZ will definitely be faster.

The only area where I would say confidently that there's more speed is in the banking, but not everyone is willing to do 140+ there.

Puts NASCAR in perspective, where they AVERAGE 180+ mph around the oval, and most folks wont sustain over 130.
