Shift Knob Question

Buddy is selling a Billetworkz weighted shift knob that I believe he purchased for his GR86 with a reverse lockout adapter. I understand the reverse lockout is larger on the old 86 platform which is why those don't work for the GR. Does that mean the new style doesn't work on the old 86? Just seeing what extras I'd need, if anything.

Does your friend live across the country?
Seems like all you both need is a measuring tape/ruler/ect.
Or if you live close, the knob isn't held o by glue or anything.

The reverse lockout is much bigger on the Gen 2 cars. So you can't take a Gen 1 knob and put it on a Gen 2 trans. Never tried the other way around, but the reverse lockout bore is the same depth, and the threads are the same. It likely works, but the smaller reverse lockout might look funny with a Gen 2 knob on a Gen 1 car.
