Dyno graphs: My 2022 GR86 (stock) vs my 2017 BRZ (stock & tuned)
After getting my GR86 baseline dyno done, I thought it would be fun to overlay the dyno graphs from my 2017 BRZ (both stock and ACE+tune) onto the GR86 graph to see the differences.
Keep in mind, the data does not line up perfectly, so understand there is a small amount of error in the overlay. But, it's pretty dang close... Images: #1 : My 2022 GR86 stock dyno #2 & #3 : My stock 2017 BRZ overlayed onto stock GR86 (actual then traced for clear view) #4 & #5 : My modified (ACE A350+CSG tune) overlayed onto stock GR86 (actual then traced for clear view)

Thank you for the data point.
In a more qualitative sense, does the new engine feel "happier" to rev out than the FA20? The FA20s just feel like they're going to explode past 7000 rpm.

Yes, the new engine feels happier to rev.

That's great. I definitely feel like my car would be perfect with about another 40hp. I'm just not willing to accept the trade off in reliability to get there on a track car.
I may upgrade platforms in a few years when these new models are more readily available.

I'm particularly impressed with the improvements in the low ranges. That's where you're going to live 90% of the time on the street and it's going to make a huge difference to how the car feels.

Great power for a stock car. The curve matches my 2017 with a header, exhaust and E85 tune but stock! These are going to be even happier running corn once a tuning solution is found.
