Home Car Lift

I was wondering if anyone has experience with residential car lifts? I have more cars then space and was considering getting one to bring another car inside. Are there brands that you would recommend? Is this something that has DIY assembly, or should a professional install it?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Check out http://www.revolutionlift.com/

They are a brand made by Rotary, a great lift maker.

If you're simply looking for storage they offer the RFP9 4 post rack.

If you want a 2 post to have a better ability to work on your car, the RTP9 would do.

And yes, I would suggest you have them professionally installed.

Thanks for the info. I always thought 2 posts lifts were more expensive then 4 posts.

I'm looking for a lift that allows me to park a car under it. I'd like to get three cars in a 2 car garage.

Oops! My bad I did not catch that the first time. As long as you have the ceiling room a four post lift will be the way to go. A friend has one and parks a car under it.

My 2 Post is being fitted this Friday.. It is a 3000kg wild boar from 'Super Hoist Plus'
Talk to Laurie Betland and he will fix you up for $1950- plus delivery.
Fitting is $550- cash
I will modify two of my roof trusses to get it right up there.. Look for the Super Hoist web site. They have four post that you dont need to bolt down which is perfect for 2 car storage. They are based in Moss Vale NSW and Bathurst NSW.

Hope that helps.. Chris R

NOTE: For Aussie 86'ers and BRZ

Definitely look at anything build by Rotary, very high quality and not a whole lot more money usually. They will last a long, long time of continual use.
