Glowing shift knob

It glows!! It says will fit most scions and toyotas. Runs on a internal battery that needs to be charged once in awhile. Stays on for 30 seconds and is touch activated. Guys!! someone burn some money and tell me how it is. I'm kind of a tron nut to a degree!!!

But... what's the point of it glowing when your hand is over it? And then turning off shortly after you remove your hand?

Not that it matters, but I only lightly touch the shifter during gear changes when I drive. Otherwise, I keep both hands on the steering wheel, because racecar.

But seriously. The stock shifter is fantastic. Just a tiny nudge down to second from first, just a tiny nudge straight up to third, tiny nudge down to fourth. Fifth requires a little more force, but it's still fairly quick and easy, and sixth is just a nudge down too. Downshifting isn't any different unless I'm skipping gears. My hand literally only needs to touch the shifter for a second or two between shifts.

Oh, I think I'll pass.

When and if I get to the point where I can't find the shift lever at night...... I'll trade my FR-S in on a Buick .....

If it's anything like the glowing garage door opener I use in my Jeep, it will turn on at random intervals while you're driving which lights up the whole car blue...plus a weighted shift knob is what you want, nice smooth shifts.
