Auto cabin air recycling - turn it off?

Hey guys,

My 86 has the dual-zone climate control unit, which will turn on air recycling whenever the outside temp is higher than the CC's target temp.

This rubs me the wrong way as it leads to lower inside air quality, and window fogging in humid weather.

I read somewhere that this behavior could be tuned out, anyone knows how?

BR,
Alex

Yeah, but every time the car is restarted, the car just goes back to air recycling as soon as the above scenario happens (ext. temp > target internal temp.). I'd like to switch that behavior off altogether.

oh gotcha.

I noticed the same thing. I have the vents set to the upper front (usually used for max A/c) and its always set to air recirc automatically whenever i turn the car on. I suppose one way to "Fix" it would be just to change the vent output....like having the vents set to upper and floor seems to stop that.

Would be nice if the car just left it at whatever it was last set to instead of defaulting to the air recirculation all the time.
