86 Cup Tires/Point categories --> lap time difference?

86 Cup has a fairly good list of tires broken down into point differences :

https://www.86cup.us/rules/

i.e. up to 225 SX/2 are -1 point, RS4's are +1, Maxxis RC1 R2 are +2.5 etc.

Is there anything that can be used to relate these points to lap time per minute or something similar?

Just trying to get a feel for how much faster/slower each category of tire should be vs the others for HPDE.

Thanks,

Jim

1 point is about 1 second, at Buttonwillow 13CW, a dedicated "test" track.

The differential will not be 1:1 at other venues, but gives you a pretty good idea of what mods do to the car in a track setting.

Some tracks favor power, others favor mechanical grip, and others yet, will favor aero.

Fully understand different tracks will affect the times, but this helps. Thanks for the info.
