BBK with stock wheels

Disclaimer: Yes I searched and doubt much will fit. Also I don’t need a BBK for DD, but love the look and as I am in quarantine I love to plan for the future, despite that it might be too much money for looks.

But I really like my 17x7 black STI wheels, has anyone put a BBK with stock wheels, did you use spacers etc, what did you do.

I realize might be cheaper to just try and get the 17 x7.5 version.

Or just stay stock brakes and stop acting like a boy racer.

I welcome all opinions.

I'm running Stoptech ST40 calipers and I need a 10mm spacer in the front to clear stock wheels.

I understand the Wilwood kit will fit stock 86 wheels *barely* but YMMV if you're talking about something else.

Our AP Racing Sprint Kit is arguably the most proven brake kit option on the market. It's won just about every type of motorsport over the years, including an endurance championship on a car built by Toyota engineers.

Our kit fits a huge range of wheels, including several OEM Subaru models. The complete list is below. I'm unsure if your wheels are exactly like the OEM ones we have listed below. Regardless, you can print our wheel fitment template and check.

You can see our Sprint Kit here: https://www.essexparts.com/essex-des...0299brzfrsgt86

The wheel fitment template is here:
https://www.essexparts.com/storage/w...l_template.pdf

Confirmed wheels that fit without a spacer:
The wheels below will fit with a spacer of the specified thickness:

  • 2013+ USDM OEM BRZ or FR-S front wheels, 10mm spacer
  • OEM NZDM Gt86 (by enkei)16x6.5 +48, needs at least 8mm spacer
  • BBS RK 17x7 +48, needs 10mm spacer
  • SSR type-c 16x7 +48, needs 5mm spacer
  • Volk Racing TE37 18x7.5 +48, needs 5mm spacer
  • Volk TE37 17x7.5 +48, needs 3mm spacer
  • Watanabe Needs15x6 +35, needs 25mm spacer
How to use the wheel fitment template:
