Tein Flex Z.or Apexi n1s Coilovers

Ok, I am about to go crazy reading and comparing both. I drive my 2017 86 every day. The only thing that drives me nuts is the wheel gap. Not looking to slam it just take it down some. And I am not interested in just a spring set up. I do drive very spirited on the weekends up canyon roads. I also like to do drift events from time to time. Nobody in these events have either one of the coilovers I am looking at except for one Miata with the Apexi n1s but he doesn't street it.

Anyone running the n1s? How is the ride for DD?

Go with the flex A's. They are not that much more expensive and they have hydraulic bottom out bumper and ride pretty well, even at low ride heights. I have the flex Z's on my car now and even at modest drop they are pretty bumpy, especially when they get into the bump stops.

I don't think there is much of an Apexi following on this platform.

Why not consider the ST coilovers? They ride nicely and aren't over-complicated for your needs.

Actually, this is a much better idea.

Hmmm I don't know they don't have any adjustments other than ride height.

What do you need to adjust if you're only dropping it 1.5-2"? It's fine to say you want adjustments, but to what end? If you can always adjust it, that means either you'll set it and forget it, or be perpetually uncomfortable and disappointed because your car rides too harsh, or is too bouncy, or leans too much, or has no road feel and is soft, etc..
