BRZ VON waiting period for NY/Northern NJ dealers
Hey guys,
I put a sold order and deposit on a DGM Limited about a month and a half ago at Flemington Subaru. I called SOA's CDS number to see if they had any updates, and they can't access the info without at least a VON. The thing is, NY and north Jersey are not SOA distributors, apparently, I was told. So, I'm wondering if anyone from the area (or ordered from Flemington Subaru specifically) could give any advice/info on what the process is like and how long they've waited for info. I know that Flemington said they've already delivered a few (they even offered me a black one that came in that I guess someone bailed on). As of today, I'm one of four other customers they're waiting for info for. It's got me a little nervous, I won't lie. Guess I just have to have faith that things will work out. Thanks in advance, Isaac :happy0180: |

Usually you get a VON after a day or so. Then again, mine was an SoA distributor. It's the waiting after the VON that got me.

Ah, this puts me a bit more at ease. Thanks guys! Wayne... I think I had a bad experience talking to one of their guys on the phone; are they tacking on extra to MSRP? Either way, glad you got your BRZ, man! I'm just hoping that by the time mine comes, there will be an exhaust and header that I fall in love with hahaha.
Foobar, did your dealer estimate 10 weeks just for order info or 10 weeks until delivery? Mine told me at least 12 weeks for delivery, but possibly longer. When I went to the dealership, they just delivered one that the customer had waited 14 weeks for :O Guess I'll just have to pray that someone can fix my Miata in the meantime because rocking an autotragic Altima 2.5 is not that much fun lol. |

They were putting like 1800 over msrp it also came with the bumper skin. I love my car so worth the wait but put it this way i ordere 5/30 order was put in 6/1 i took delevery 8/4. They told me it would be mid sept when my car came in about two weeks ago i look on there website my car is there but says "in transit" i go in to talk to them about it to work out numbers and tell them not to wash it and not to drill the front bumper. When i was there they showed me there paperwork and told me it should be within the next two weeks. The car showed up the next day!!

I ordered mine back in Feb and it was put into the system when they were allowed, which was early March. I never got a VON or an ETA. Then I just randomly get a call saying on the last day of May that went something like "oh hi, your car is here, come give us money."
![]() You'll see it, just be patient.

Ah thanks again guys. I mean, looking at the SOA sales figures, there's no way they sold all of them yet, so I guess it'll be okay! Oh right, I had better give the dealership a call and tell them when it DOES come in, don't drill the front bumper or wash it so help me god haha.
