Hey guys, what do you think of a fra with over 100k miles to take to the track 2-4 times a year? Is it a ticking time bomb? This is a 2015

Depends how much it is. If it blows up the first lap, is that okay? Are you out a car with a loan? Do you have another car to drive?

If the above is okay and you can take the financial hit of the car turning into a grenade sooner than later, just do the usual checks. Look for leaks; especially coolant and oil, and perform a compression test, if you can.

I tracked a 1991 Miata with 188,000 miles on the engine and a 2000 E39 M5 with 220,000 miles, yours is just broken in....

As long as it was maintained you'll be ok. Tracking doesn't have to mean a death sentence for a motor. I see kids hooning on the street that make tracking seem mild. The key when tracking is to respect your equipment. No constantly banging it off the redline (just because you're revving the sh#t ot of it doesn't mean faster laptimes necessarily. When shifting think of the shift knob as a raw egg. slamming gears is no faster. REALLY watch missed shifts, your rev limiter won't help you there.

On my last track day at Laguna Seca, I had a friend who blew a motor from a money shift. No power shifting and just be really mindful of your shifting because it's easy to get carried away when your adrenaline is pumping.

As for me, I have over 150k miles with a lot of track/autoX events on record along with a valve spring recall finished.

My 2014 has 120,000 mi on it and probably 150 track days. Still makes great power. Well, as much power as it did when new.

Soft limiter, I am into it some every lap, doesn't seem to be an issue

If I stay with the FA probably bumping it to 8k next year.

Just rolled over 244k km on my 2014, at the track. You'll be fine as long as the routine maintenance was done.
