Shipping US to Canada - Cost? Extra Things to Know?

Great guy on here wants to buy the rest of my part out sale for my car, but he lives in Canada! Funny thing is; he is only like 300 miles away from me. A header is a large item to ship, what should I be concerned about? Say shipping in the US is about 40 bucks, any idea what it would be to Canada? Also, is buyer going to have to pay fees to pick it up?

You can get a quote on the usps website, just punch in the destination and size and weight of the box, you get shipping options. The cheapest one is fine because shipping is quick and they're all tracked.

As for the duties, it all depends on the stated value on the box. I believe the laws changed recently, but maybe you can ask him to check cause it used to be anything above $20 value was subject to duties but now it's $100 or $200? I'm not too sure. But basically the lower the value you state, the less likely the package is to have fees applied to it. I've asked sellers from the states to do it hundreds of times and there are never any problems for either party. In fact, I never buy anything expensive unless the seller is able to do that for me
