So when I’m on 2nd gear in my 2015 FRS base even when flooring the gas. The rpm’s wont go more than 2.5k-3k rpm but when I switch to a different gear say 3rd the throttle is normal and drive like normal. Need help figuring out this problem

Why are your ABS and TC lights on and when did they come on? That's probably one problem right there.

Also, is it just me or are those blinkers flashing faster than usual? I haven't driven mine in 4 months so maybe I'm crazy.

Any mods?

Those lights were on since like 9 months ago so I know that not the problem and it came on cause my dumbass was distracted and hit the curb hella hard but yes the light flashes hella fast cause the headlight wiring isn’t done correctly LOL

This just started happening recently

Have somebody pull the codes as to why you have the lights on. It may have happened 9 months ago but things are escalating and now issues are appearing.

So I figured out the code is P0700

The previous owner decided to change the trans fluid and very shortly after like 1-2days the 2nd gear started to act the way it is currently. I’ve come to a conclusion that the fluid changed fucked it cause everyone knows to not change the fluid if it’s never been done or hasn’t been regularly maintained. So it cause the 2nd gear to slip. But I’d there a way I can fix this. Should I add more fluid or do a whole another fluid change? I don’t know how to come about it

The P0700 code is for a transmission control module fault but that can be several things including the fluid. If the fluid is low add more if it is not then yes I would start by changing it to the recommended type.

Why does it only slip in one gear? If it was a fluid problem wouldn’t it make all the gears slip? It only slips in 2nd gear. 1st is perfectly normal 100% of the time and anything after 2nd gear is 100% perfect it’s only 2nd gear that has this problem. I’m asking to see if fluid can only cause a single gear to slip only
