Turning Invidia n1 into single
I have the invidia n1 but have been wanting a single exit lately. I was wondering if yall have taken your n1’s to a exhaust shop and converted it into a single? Or what do yall think?

Just get a blank flange plate and blank off the side if the Y pipe you don't want to use anymore. If it's like the Spec D (as I understand the Spec D is a blatant rip off) then the piping is no less than 2.5" all the way through so it won't choke off power. I even wonder if the blanked off piece of pipe might work as a helmholtz at some frequency?

Actually, I think I did this once just to try it. I bought or had a metal plate and cut it out to shape. Then drilled the holes for the bolts to fit through. I used a gasket to seal the plate to the flange. Honestly, I don't remember how it turned out. I don't remember if it was louder or quieter or if it felt funny driving it around (power wise), but I do know that it didn't last long. Maybe a day or two. It would be easy enough to try out. I suggest doing that before spending money having it permanently done.

You will want to take it to someone who can weld a plate on the Y pipe, or wherever it splits. Shouldn't be too hard. Car will lose a tiny bit of weight...but may also lose some aesthetics from the back! Keep the dual!

Agreed. Keep it as is or get a proper single exit exhaust.
