How much did you barter down to?
Hey, I'm going to be grabbing an FR-S next year, and I'm wondering just how much you managed to bring down the price at the dealership? Just for fun, and out of curiosity!
What's the starting price, and what did you manage to snag it for? |

You don't have to pay sticker, just be willing to walk if necessary.

I paid sticker minus the recent college grad rebate. I had no interest in playing a game to get some free(ish) accessories. If you are getting the current model year, and not adding on accessories you will have pretty limited room, but you can probably get them down a little using rebates (college or veteran) or get some kind of deal on financing.
Once you start adding accessories and warranties it is a whole different ball game, you can ****er with those to your hearts content. |

It took me a week or so but I went to 4 different scions and made them bud for my business. The winner was a new guy that needed the sale. They came down about 2200 overall.

Word of advice, wait till the end of the month(28th-31st) to purchase. I got 3k total off the "pure price" because they have a "quota" of cars to sell a month. If they haven't met it, they will offer money off to get the sell before the months end.

Yup, did the same for my BRZ. Got it on the last day of the month, didn't plan on getting it, but they kept coming back with lower and lower offers.

I didn't barter at all. The price they sent me over the net was 24.5 with spoiler, window tint, paint coating, floor mats, and a bunch of other stuff when every other dealer was higher for a pretty base model. So I was happy with that.

I didn't really barter at all either on the price. I was one of the first in my area with an FRS (3rd one sold from my particular dealership from what they said). But I did work in for them to install leather seats for an additional $1k (Katzkin leather covers), and have a couple of 12 packs of Stella Artois in the trunk upon delivery. They threw in a Ipod Shuffle as well...

Bartering is trading services. Usually dealerships will not accept services from you to lower the price of the car, however they will negotiate on price sometimes. Not usually at Scion though.
