Shift Knob not flushed

Hey guys just got a flossy shift knob and it doesn't sit all the way down and there an annoying white strip. Any way I could solve this?

I think I just kept screwing

That being said, did you use any of the bolts that came with your knob? I did not use any that came with mine.

There might be small hex nut/bolt inside of your knob. If so, screw that nut all the way in. If there is no nut in side of your knob, I dont know.

Also, you can use that small nut/bolt to adjust stop point so the gear pattern or logo is aligned well.

Yeah I screwed the nut all the way down and the knob but when I do it's still misaligned so I'm still stuck. I was thinking of buying the Raceseng reverse lockout to cover the white strip but I don't want to drop 80+$ just to cover it ....

I have a red Raceseng reverse lock that I'd be willing to sell for 50$. Maybe 4 months old in near flawless condition.

Not going to lie... I literally used a few small bits of toilet paper stuffed into mine to get it aligned correctly! It did end up covering a lot more of the white that you're showing. I think I can barely see it when trying. I'll try snap a pic tomorrow and if you haven't heard from me by noon hit me up as a reminder to snap a shot of mine.

EDIT: Found link I'd posted in the past of car w/Flossy (Sorry for the big pics). Let me know if that view isn't good enough and I'll get more like at the angle you're showing etc.

Pretty sure the nut is not the correct type if it's all the way down and the knob is still sitting so high up.

You need a "jam nut" - it is half the height of a regular nut:

https://www.belmetric.com/zinc-plain...dkccef7dhn44u1

If that's the nut you have, then there may be something wrong with the threads in your shift knob, it may need to be re-tapped / chased to clean it out.

You're gonna need a reverse lockout adapter. My Blox knob came with it but since it sat out in the sun it turned from black to a copper/brownish color.

Here's what I'm referring to.

If he has a Flossy shorty heavyweight knob, it should screw all the way down, hiding the white part of the reverse lockout. He shouldn't need an adapter.

Off topic, but it's good to see someone still hanging an American flag outside their house.

I ran into the same issue when I put on my knob, what I did was just get a stainless nut lockdown and trimmed the plastic slider just below the top of the lockout top. The look came out great and I don't have to get a custom lockout.

Sounds like a bunch of you got the wrong knob.
Thinking you guys got a knob for a car that doesn't have the reverse lockout.
