Subaru SG117CA010 Shift Knob
Hello! Up for sale is a genuine Subaru STI shift knob, part no: SG117CA010. This knob came with the car from the previous owner. I bought a heavier custom shift knob and have no real use for this anymore. As far as I can tell these things are pretty rare and hard to find outside of Japan. PO was a Japanese immigrant to US and said that he had a buddy that scored him primo JDM parts when he traveled back to Japan. I think it's more commonly known as the BRZ STI ZC shift knob based on the random Japanese sites I've found it on. It's no longer in the Subaru parts catalog however. I think the PO mentioned it being a one year only part in 2013.
The knob itself is in great condition and shows almost no signs of wear. There's the tiniest mark on the bottom of the 4th gear marker but you really have to look to see it. Looks like it was probably a ring that had caused it. There's also another tiny mark under the 6th marker, to the right of the STI logo. Other than those two very small blemishes the knob is in near mint condition. The leather wrap still looks new and the rest of the metal doesn't have any scratches or nicks. I've done the research for this part's price and since it's limited edition and limited run it's pretty high. That being said, I'm willing to negotiate a bit on the price since I have no need for the knob. I'm asking $200 shipped to continental US, we can work something out if elsewhere. Thanks for looking! What does it weigh compared to a stock BRZ shift knob?

I have a scale at work. I can double check it but I think the STI one was like 275g when I weighed it out of curiosity. The stock one is apparently 200g going by this thread http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7760

![]() Just so happens I did take a picture of it lol I had an FRS with a stock knob before this BRZ. The BRZ only had the STI knob in it before my new knob. I'd say it gave it an appropriate amount of heft without a total heavyweight feeling. You could definitely still feel what the transmission was doing. It gave it just enough oomph to have a satisfying throw to it. |
