Aftermarket Side Markers Fitment Issues

Question for all Twin Oracles.

I was thinking of upgrading my side markers to clear ones, there is a lot of noise on the forum about them coming loose or filling with water etc.

Fitment issue seems to be related to ill fitting clips. Seems to me that using the existing side markers clips would solve the issue, however I am guessing.

I would guess water issue is something to do cheap plastic markers but who knows.

Why is this such a big issue? Is it individuals not fitting the new markers correctly or is it a fundamental design flaw. (Or perhaps a bit of both).

Perhaps some knowledgeable individual with Oracle like insights could create a DIY thread that show how to fit a marker correctly to stop these issues (Or perhaps one already exists, if so I could not find it)

my guess is that they're just tricky/tough to install

there are several instructional videos/breakdowns, but in practice it isnt easy unless youve done it before

e.g. my first side marker was a pain in the ass, and i got the other side done a lot faster/easier

some people say the helix ones leak, i havent noticed leaking yet, but maybe some people aren't taking great care with the rubber seals around the side markers
