Varis Arising II rear bumper Install

I'm looking to purchase the Varis Arising II rear bumper but everyone I talk to says you have to modify/replace the rear crash bar in order to install the bumper. Anyone have the Varis Arising II rear bumper that can confirm?

possibly like the evos, american crash bar MAY be larger than the over-seas counterparts. As for the OP, yes, my North American crash bar had to be removed to install the bumper.

As far as I can recall the only modification I had to do to fit the varis arising 2 kit (not the wide body, just front and rear bars and skirts) was remove a black plastic support piece from in front of the side indicators in the front bar. Other than that it was bolt in replacement for stock. In truth I could have trimmed the bumper to fit the clip I removed, but it was one bolt holding it in.

Oh actually I lie. I left out the polystyrene block in the front bumper. I might have done that in the rear too. Now that does actually sit in front of the crash bar. My memory is a little hazy on why I left it out (fitted the kit at the start of 2014). It may be because it showed through with the bumper there as the openings are different. Or it may be because it wasn't held in by the new bar as it's so much longer than stock... In which case you could just cable tie it in. But as I said it's been a very long time since I fit the kit. I know I didn't trim or modify the metal crash bars in any way shape or form to fit the kit.

Yeah, mine just required the piece to b removed or trim. The rear bumper was the same regardless of widebody or not. I really think it may be a US thing where our bars are thicker than overseas model.
