Wink Toyota Aristo Engine Harness Conversion to USDM Supra TT to Swap into FRS

Hi there everyone. I just joined the forum and I am very excited to have joined. I hope I can contribute as much as possible for the 1JZ/2JZ guys. I have been in the 1JZ/7M game for about 10 years. I have completed 1JZ swap harnesses, MKIII harnesses and more. I am Supramania, Supraforums, and other sites through all the years, and I think it is time to expand and join the FT86.

A friend of mine and I will be swapping 2JZ into his BRZ soon so all of the information I gather will be helping that project - I am also going to be doing a 2JZ swap, but on a FRS. To start out though I am working on all the wiring first. I will be posting up all my information, because a lot of us will be purchasing 2JZ's out of Aristo's VVT-i and Non-VVT-i. I am into understanding all functions of a harness, which also includes labeling every pin and it's function. Wire color is also important.

(First Project) - Aristo 2JZ-GTE NON-VVT-i converted into a USDM Supra TT harness. What does this mean? This harness would be able to plug right into a USDM Supra TT. Because some of the ECU connectors are not the same, I purchased USDM Supra TT ECU connectors and terminals. I was lucky though, because the Non-VVT-i Aristo actually comes with the 80 pin connector already on the harness. the 40 Pin connectors is actually on the Aristo body harness, which makes this not as easy. Since I have the 40 Pin connector I will be converting all functions of the huge connector that the Aristo came with into he 40 Pin.

My goal is to by a Supra TT jumper harness and then splice off of that to work with a stand alone so that he harness itself is still intact. It makes the most sense. Since Aristo's only came in automatics, there will be plenty of unnecessary wiring which will be removed as well, i.e (VSV's)

Cheers,

ThePurist
