USB with Sat Nav

I've just had the centre console replaced by Subaru after the local dealer drilled a hole in the console to fit the USB cord from the Sat Nav. I spoke with Natalie after the dealer did the Sat Nav fitting and complained that the positioning of the USB cord was not satisfactory. She was superb - told me they would fly a new console over from Japan and fit it - and they have. All at their cost. Excellent service. I've got the dealer to just coil the USB up behind the dash for the moment - I suspect that a better outcome will be available next year and I'll get the USB fitted then if I want. Don't really use it however as bluetooth does everything.

I have had my Dealer do the SatNav install on my BRZ so the USB can be located in the glove box instead of the center console. Natalie was great about authorizing the Dealers costs to be paid for this. The glove box to me is the logical place for this not often used connection. Subaru Australia can only install accessories were Japan tells them, the Dealers do not seem to have this restriction. Hope this is of help to others!
