Fantasy Football Championships

I'm on my way to my 3rd consecutive FF championship in a league with my best friends. I won last year so I have a reputation to uphold. It is a PPR money league.

My Current Lineup:

My Bench: Steve Smith Sr., Jason Witten, Matt Barkley, MAlcolm Mitchell, Kenneth Farrow, Dontrelle Innman

Opponents Lineup:

RB: Bilal Powell
RB: David Johnson
WR: Tyler Boyd
WR: Michael Thomas
TE: Eric Ebron
FLX: Cole Beasley
K: Dan Bailey
DST: Packers

Opponents Bench: LeGarrett Blount, Ted Ginn, Theo Rid****, Kenny Stills, Jerick McKinnon, Marcus Mariota

I've already made my waiver claims this morning and my opponent was alseep at the wheel and has made no waiver claims as of yet.

DeMarco Murray was a great middle round value pick this year. He's been consistent if not spectacular. I have him going alongside Frank Gore for RB (another mid Round value pick). My weak spot is at QB. Carr's finger and Newton's everything are really making it tough. But I have a lot of plus matchups in the Superbowl of my brother-in-laws money league. This year is redemption for a terrible year last season.

I'd favor Whitten over Eifert because the Bengals are done and the cowgirls have a better match up. The Texans have plenty to play for and still have a good D, so I don't see the Bungles doing much this week. Eifert has declined playing in the pro bowl too, he has nothing to play for.

The rest of the decisions are easy and you nailed it. I can't believe your opponent can't find a better D off the scrap heap. The Packers D this year is historically bad.

Oh man the Witten/Eifert combo worked so well for me this year.

In week 7 I had Martellus Bennett and saw that Eifert had been dropped by the team that drafted him and Eifert was poised to be active in week 7 only to be on bye 2 weeks later. So I picked up Eifert and traded Bennett for Witten so I'd have a fill in when Eifert went on bye in week 9. Eifert got me 27.2 points in week 8, subbed in Witten week 9 and Witten had his best game of the season against the Browns, 29.4.

Seems like Witten has mostly been run blocking for Ezekiel all year unless the Cowboys have an opportunity to exploit the opposing teams weakness to TE's.

Next best D's, based on match up, available in our league are Titans, Giants, Steelers, Bengals, and Rams. Considering stashing the Titans D just so my opponent can't pick them up. I'm just uncertain as to who I should drop to make that move.

The thing about the Titans and Rams is that though they may not be very good Def's, they are going against teams that give up the 6th and 5th most points to opposing Def's. All year long I've been picking up whatever team have a very favorable Def matchup and it's worked well. I basically pick up anyone playing against the Browns LOL

This week I scooped up Seattle even though they have a terrible D-line this year and the overall Def is not what it used to be. Arz has a great habit of self-destructing so they should drop points my way all day long.

I lost as well. I swapped out Eifert for Witten Saturday early AM.

I was driving to see family Saturday as the games started. And had my mother in law not made us late I would have arrived early enough to see that Doug Martin had been ruled out for the game at 1PM. I would have moved Farrow out of my flex and started Steve Smith SR. in my flex and I would have won by a considerable margin. Instead I lost by 5 points.

We were neck and neck all day Saturday up until the end of the 3rd quarter of the Dallas Detroit game. It crossed my mind to phone in a bomb threat to the stadium because by that time I was ahead by 2 points....JK

Oh well like you said, 2nd place still gets gets some money.
