2016 BRZ with Back up camera
Apologies if this has been asked/answered, but do these come with come with back up cameras? I thought they did, fairly certain that the FRS does, but the sales lady informed me that they did not. I am not able to see back up camera listed on either subaru.ca or .com

I believe it is now a required safety item on a 2016 vehicles. It was supposed to be the law for 2014 but manufacturers were able to delay that requirement until now claiming it was too expensive or difficult to do.

Yes 2016 FRS has one, No 2016 BRZ does not have a backup camera

I wonder if it's factory install or dealer install. I know Lexus at least with the RX is actually dealer install and there could be a bit of rust there after a few years.

I can confirm the 16 BRZ does not have, and Subaru Canada will not release or supply cameras from another market for the car. I have been hearing FRS ads for "Western Canada Toyota dealers" saying standard backup cameras and paddle shifters lol
