Par GearSet
Thank you all who have been with me through the build. I have gotten all the parts in for the Drivetrain, with the exception of the gear set. I have decided that I am going with the PAR Gear Set. I know that it is straight cut, that it is loud, and I am fine with that. I needed it due to the build yielding, 550BHP and 478 Torque. I have placed the order, it is in the process of being fabricated, I just have a question. The question pertains, to what parts that I am going to need along with the gearset.
The Question: For anyone who has done the Par Gearset. What parts do not come with the gearset? Are there any parts that I can use from the original manual transmission that is being taken apart? I know that I need the synchros (VERUS), I just want to make sure that I have all the other parts that I need for the build. I want to have everything in order before the gearset arrives. It is shipped from Australia, so It does take time. I appreciate all the information and help. |

At very least i'd probably at same time change also TOB bearing. Not directly gearbox part, but it's cheap, but changing it needs gearbox drop. So why not put new TOB if gearbox will be worked on anyway.

Thank you for that information, i have a TOB and a fork from VERUS. I also have the pivot, I am more concerned about the gear set. I just do not know what is needed to complete the entire swap. I dont want to use any of the old parts, but i will if the budget does not allow. I do however want to replace the moving bits, that could have taken a beating. Thanks for the input...
