Joining the Nitrous users club
I have started to collect parts for my coming nitrous kit, I will be running a small 35-50 shot on top of the boost I am already running from my turbo.
The plan here is to be able to keep a street friendly sized turbo but have more on tap when need be. I will be mounting a NX Shark nozzle in my intercooler pipe 6" before the throttle body and running a NX Maximizer 4 controller for all the fail safes in one easy program. I do have the NX Plate for the FA20 but after talking to NX they said going with a single nozzle is better for a small shot. There wont be any dyno graphs real soon so dont get your hopes up but I just wanted to put it out there of another car hooking up a bottle! ![]() For the F&F generation. ![]() Fits pretty nicely, need to sort out a solid mounting point.

Wet kit and after the MAF.
A Dry 35 after the MAF would be nice if I triggered ecutek to bring additional fuel. However I like to be able to adjust things independently.

Came across a Nitrous Express Boost Reference Progressive Controller, sounds real nice.
"The BOOST REFERENCE PROGRESSIVE NITROUS CONTROLLER combines the functions of a throttle position switch, two RPM window switches, a MAP sensor and a 2 stage progressive driver all into a very compact module. It can progressively drive two channels, each with a 40 amp load capacity (continuous duty). The device also supports low-voltage OEM, V10 or 3 cylinder TACH signals without the need for additional adapters. It works with most OEM throttle position sensors including most drive-by-wire vehicles. This device also includes NX's "real curve" ramp, which allows you to create a progressive curve instead of just a ramp. The ramp can be either time based or Boost based. All this and it’s only the size of a spark plug box."

The car is parked for the winter, and I bought a house so funds are tied up. I'll like to have it hooked up for spring time.

Nice
So overall, how would you rate the usability? Simple install? How hard/easy is it to refill? How often do you find yourself pushing the go button? Does it come on smooth like a turbo? Do your friends constantly say, "I NEED NOS!" lol
Thanks, Scott |
