Wheel Directory: MSR Style 042 20x7.5 +40
![]() Saw my dealer decked out their demo 6AT FR-S while I was in for service. I am considering aftermarket wheels like many of you all, and I'm just collecting info on what fits on 86. It is a staggered setup. 245/30R20 on the front. 255/30R20 on the rear. I have no idea what the offset of these wheels are, but overall it looks like it clears everything. Since the overall wheel diameter is greater than OEM, this car probably wasn't lowered. IMO it looks cartoonish, especially the wheel to brake ratio. Overall view of car ![]() IMG_0414 by VictorN07, on Flickr ![]() IMG_0404 by VictorN07, on Flickr Rear wheel ![]() IMG_0408 by VictorN07, on Flickr Rear shot ![]() IMG_0410 by VictorN07, on Flickr Front shot ![]() IMG_0412 by VictorN07, on Flickr Rear clearance. Looks like about 2 inches back there. (Bad picture I know) ![]() IMG_0418 by VictorN07, on Flickr Front Clearance. Closer than the rear but there is some gap between the wheel and the front strut ![]() IMG_0420 by VictorN07, on Flickr Last edited by DarrenDriven; 05-11-2014 at 06:30 PM. |

To be fair, that's about as good a result as I could have expected for 20s. Not too wide, and it's not jacked up or anything.
Still not my thing. Ride quality has to be trash, and the brakes are absolutely lost in that wheel. I don't want to even think about how much each wheel weighs. ![]() Edit: Just did a size compare. The rear has to be around 1.5" taller than the stock wheel package. Front is 1.2" taller.

I'm sorry but this car wasn't made for that. What a shame. Extreme dislike.

Zooming in on the original photo looks like 205/30. You can make out the number at the bottom of the photo. Tire Rack doesn't even have that size, wtf...

![]() In all seriousness, that's one hell of an optical illusion if they are 255s.
