OFT and magnets

I was looking at getting a mounting device for my OFT. I saw the Imagnet and a few people using them. Wouldn't the magnet cause interference over time? I have some earth magnets I was thinking about just making one myself but wanted to see the draw backs. I know lots of reviews say it won't interfere with phones/tablets (other then the compass) Thanks!

tl;dr don't worry about it. Static magnetic fields below industrial strength do not pose a risk to electronics.

Also I'm pretty sure it uses nand storage for all the roms and such so there's no issue there either, you'd need to use a super powerful rare earth neodymium magnet to do something.

When logging/flashing with OFT, I always used a Scosche Magic mount with a magnetic plate - never any issues whatsoever.
