BRZ engine rigidness against forced induction.

Im planning on having force induction on my BRZ not yet set on the type
(turbo or supercharging.) Do i need any upgrades on the engine internals such as pistons or rods to handle the extra boost? Im going for a reliable setup without crazy gains, hoping for 275-300 hp from the stock 200hp. Also, please elaborate on the necessity of upgrading my camshaft, and whether I need an upgrade on it.

300HP is fine for stock engine. 350HP is worrysome, 400HP+ is a ticking time bomb without engine internals.

Use the search if you want more elaboration.

Quit trying to out think the engineers and just drive the car.

Maybe you will maybe you won't?

Not many options on camshafts.

Forced induction forum would be a great place to start.
