Release Series Body Kit

Help a new guy out. I tried to search this stuff with no luck.

So I am rebuilding a Release Series 1.0 in my shop currently and have run into challenge #1 - the Dealer that I use for parts can't identify where to get replacement TRD rear lowers or the 3 piece spoiler. I really want to stick with the factory kit look on this car. Any ideas where to land this stuff or who Toyota sources it from?

I can probably deal with a spoiler change, but those quad tips are a problem.

Thanks in advance. This is a very helpful site.

Look on japanparts.com. they may have some of what you're looking for.

They're expensive. The end pieces are like 480 each. Tell your local dealership parts department to stop being lazy and search their catalog.

None of the parts had numbers on them?

I was able to get prices on the release series parts back when they initially came out. Although I was able to convince them to look up the part numbers, the parts were rather expensive. Make sure you let your insurance cover it. You should never have to deal with anything below OEM.

I bought over $250K in Toyota parts last year from 3 different vendors. All three of them seem lost on this one and there's nothing for TRD stuff in our parts database at my shop.

It may actually be cheaper to replace the whole kit with A/M in the end than try to get these pieces.

I think there is some potential with them. I will look into it further. Thanks.

I had my dealership parts department look it up, despite me not having a RS1 (helps that I work there I guess). He was able to pull up everything that makes a RS 1, a RS 1.

Ok, what you need to do is contact your local toyota dealer. Tell them you have damaged RS1.0 parts that need to be replaced, you must provide toyota with your vin number because the parts are vin locked. If you do not have a rs1.0 they will not sell you the parts. Once you verify the vin number you should be prepared to pay a pretty penny for the parts because they are not cheap.

I am headed to my primary dealer tomorrow to finish it up. I need to get this car done.
