Exhaust Hangars?

Hey guys,

Found a local deal on a Nameless Performance 5" axleback. I was impatient so I installed today and I'm simply LOVING it.

The seller reached out to me to say they got upgraded hangars from Nameless when they bought the exhaust and asked if I was interested in buying them. The stock hangars seem pretty sturdy, and I know that stiffer hangars are designed to keep the exhaust from swaying, but is it really worth the upgrade? This exhaust feels so much lighter than stock, I have a hard time believing I'm going to recognize a difference.

Well, if by chance the current ones fail any muffler shop can fix it. The only one that would know would be you and the guy at the muffler shop.

The stock ones are fine, but the nameless ones along with perrin are made of polyurethane, if the stock ones look worn or dry rotted replace them with the ones from nameless you might as well it helps center the tips in the rear bumper a bit better later on.

The stock hangars have held up my Nameless muffler just fine for the past 3 years.

Awesome, thanks for the info. I guess I'll stick with stock then. The car is still pretty new, so the hangars still look perfect. Maybe if they start cracking I'll look at replacing.

Yeah, unless your hangers are in need of replacement, I wouldn't bother. When I ordered a nameless axle back many moons ago, I also ordered the upgraded hangers (or did they throw them in for free? Doesn't matter I guess). I used them for a while, but then ditched them as they were too hard to work with. Didn't notice any difference between them or the stock ones.

The best thing about aftermarket hangers is you can get longer or shorter ones to compensate for some fitment issues of the exhaust.

I have the nameless axleback with the 5" mufflers as well, I've been using the stock ones for a little over a year with no issues. I'd leave them alone until they dry rot.

Also the upgraded hangers are made out of stiffer material and would send more exhaust noise into the cabin. I had a nameless axleback with the upgraded hangers and ended up switching back to stock hangers.

Well the seller just ended up giving me the hangars last night haha. Too much effort to take off the exhaust just to put these on, but at least now I have them for when the stock ones start to rot.
