Morimotos from TRS , a little more than the regular ebay kits, but comes with a very accurate color temp and stellar customer service .

This. I have the XB35 H11 5000k. I always use Morimoto for my retrofits.

Have you always purchased morimotos with the full kit including the HID projectors? I'm wondering if I can save on some $$ and just buy what's necessary and use the stock halogen projectors. Unless that's a bad idea... Any advice would help.

Nope, I usually buy what I only need, although it's true you can save $20+ when you buy bundles.
