Into sailing now

I've have always wanted a BRZ and when I got the change to buy one, I didn't. I bought a 2017 hobie tandem island instead. That being said, here it is. For now, until the turbo BRZ comes out (probably never), I will hold out. My WRX will just continue to haul my kayak trailer around.

Cool, but I have a hard time justifying a water toy in Ohio. Alaska? Makes me cold just looking at it.

Virginia, but as long as you have water near by you are good to go.

Some might say wind helps too...

One of my favorite things to do is to fly a hull - just don't go turtle!

I sailed 420's competitively for a few year back in Sea Cadets. Haven't touched a sail boat in 20 years or more though. Every couple of years I consider getting back into it but never follow through with actually buying a boat.

I live near a lake and every summer my wife and I talk about getting a boat. So far it has not happened.

OP, your new tandem looks nice! That should be really fun!

It's so fun, no wind, no problem. Mirage drive on the hobie is a blast.
