Wheel Bearings- Timken, Moog or OEM?
Does anyone have any experience here?
Over about 10k track miles, running only 200TW tires with 2pc rotors, I never had a front go bad (prob because the tires and the rotors kept heat out of them). I had two rear go, and I know for sure one was not OEM. And it honestly might have been more a function of hitting curbing. I think that was the corner where I cracked a wheel. I'm hearing people replace them for endurance racing every race or two (which, to be fair, each race is 8+7 hours of racing + ~6 hours of practice) but I feel like I'm burning money by spending $1200 on a part that has been so robust.

MOOG is just an aftermarket supplier and I'm not convinced that they make all their own parts. Even so, not a performance part or necessary even OEM quality in my experience. |
