Switching from catless to catted front pipe?

Hi everyone! So I currently have an Invidia catless front pipe and Berk muffler delete. I'm wondering if I switch to a catted front pipe how much difference would that make sound wise and would it really affect anything?

From what i read, it would make the car much more quiet and eliminate drone if you had any.
Also you would pass emissions in Canada haha....your in Texas, not sure about the law there.
Performance wise, there won't be much of a difference.

It's legal in Texas, but how much more quiet would it make it?

Is your Invidia front pipe resonated? If so then you won't see much of a difference in sound if you switch back to a catted front pipe. There's no point in switching back to a catted front pipe and it wouldn't be worth the drop off in performance you'd experience. If anything get rid of the muffler delete as that's what is making your car so loud.

Not the best comparison because they have a UEL header which makes the car very loud, but you can somewhat see the difference in noise level between catted and uncatted front pipes.

I'm sure someone else can give you more info on this

My front pipe isn't resonated either, I would just be getting a new pipe with the converter

Go resonated. It will solve your problems without sacrificing power. Just keep in mind the muffler delete is what's causing most of the noise.

the resonator kills a lot of the drone and harshness. It's basically a glasspack if i'm not wrong.

Also, UEL headers don't make the car a whole lot louder. Most of the loudness comes from the catback delete and no resonators. When I went from stock + catback (q300) to JDL UEL + Q300 it ways maybe 5-10% louder vs stock. Not a big deal.

A resonator is a device they put in car's exhaust pipes to reduce drone and reduce rasp and reduce the noise as well. It doesn't restrict flow as much as a catalytic converter but focuses mostly on sound.

Okay so from reading those, basically there won't be anything different if I switch to a catted pipe then?

You could get both in one package and get a nameless front pipe with the cat and a helmholtz resonator

Catted pipe will hurt your peformance as well as reduce noise. A high flow cat wont hurt it as much.

^Correct. Should you choose to switch to a catted pipe ensure that it is a high flow cat.
