Hit & Run (on brz)

no surprise on friday the 13th, go to bank to deposit pay cheque, come out to a dent/scratches/scuff in my rear bumper, all while car was parked away in the corner beside a wrx. Couldn't have been in there for more than 5 minutes. didn't discover till after work. On top of that a bank with no outside cameras.

Anyone have any suggestions as to find the perp? (bank saw nothing already spoke to manager)

Time machine.
Even if they did have cameras, a bank would not release a video outside of a robbery.
Touch up paint and paint-less dent removal.
Sorry it had to be you.

I've had a few things like this happen with a few different cars. You're pretty much on your own unfortunately. Turn it in to your insurance and get it fixed.

It pisses me off that no one can respect someone else's belongings.

I'd still try to get surveillance somehow. I just found my second ding on mine today. Solo pissed. 5 cars no dings. Brz 2 dings in 6 months and 90% of the time I park very far away from wherever I am visiting...

If you didn't discover until after work how do you know it happened at the bank?
Could it not have happened at work?
Of course I have no clue as to how you park at work!

FRS ding free after 8 months. Lancer 6 dings in 3 months including one shopping cart ramming 45 minutes after driving it off the dealer lot ( I just had to have those damned licence plat frames)! There seems to be no rhyme nor reason in how dings appear.

Yeah honestly it's brutal, some people have no respect. I knew it happened at the bank because the previous night I washed the car and looked over it like usual for things exactly like this. Looks like it's gonna have to go through insurance, hopefully doesn't need a new bumper

It's also why I don't park next to beige cars (especially corollas and Camrys) luxury SUVs and Dodge minivans.

Yes I end up getting a lot of walking done in parking lots, but hey it's good for me

A note for you on Ontario Insurance.....it will be considered no fault and will not affect your premiums ONLY if you have a police report number. Go to the reporting center and have them give you a copy of the report and insurance will cover it.

Ask me how I know.........complete new driver side door and front fender.

Sorry to hear about that. I can't stand when people try to hide and run away. Sounds like my dealership experience at red hill toyota. Someone was definitely trying to hide something. My new car recieved a bunch of dings from servicing my car. My FRS wasn't even washed after being serviced. Only when I drove home to wash it myself I found a giant dent in the passenger door. It's like a foot long dent and a couple of dents on the trunk by the rear view camera. Not pleased at all

Sad stories, it's honestly a shame. I got a quote through a body shop my work uses for 500 bucks to get the rear bumper sanded and painted which is the same as my deductible, so that looks to be the route I'm going

yeah, don't go through your insurance if its the same price for your deductible, don't take the hit. It'll be on your file and I'm sure it'll be better in the long run. Claiming small things like this still stays on your file for ...7 years i think...
