Spec-D exhaust?

Hi I love the spec-d headlights and I think they are an awesome product, but what about their exauast? I love the sound but it's so cheap I don't know? Does it have rust issues? Anybody that has it that can comment on it before I buy!

I had the exhaust for a short period of time. It's cheap, decently made, but will probably not have the longevity of something more "quality". Mine had better tip alignment than some of the actual N1's I have seen around, so there's that.

How many miles did you have it on the car? I drive probably 10-15k miles a year as I live 5 minutes from my job so I think I would be okay. But I live in Florida where it is extremely humid in the summer, I'm scared of build quality if it will rust or not

Really considering it, I don't really like the sound of the N1 I like the spec-d sound better and I also like the sound of berk dual tip muffler delete

Maybe 3000km on it. It's cheap enough that you can replace it 2 or 3 times in the span of owning the car, and still come out ahead or on par with a more expensive system.

As far as the sound, if it's the same exhaust I had, it's nearly identical to the N1...

What do you have and how does it sound? When it comes to cat backs is it just like metal? How can spec-d sell it for 250$ on eBay free shipping, is metal really that cheap? Man I'm so dumb when it comes to cars lol, I'm learning

It's cheap because:

- You can bulk pack several thousand catback systems into a 40' container
- Ocean freight for a 40' container from China is less than $900 right now. After fees and duties, the cost of freight for each exhaust from China is less than $5 per piece
- Copy exhausts like these generally are around $100-150 each if you buy direct from a factory in China

I have one.

I've had mine on for quite a while now. Geez, let's see, since sept of 14?

It's great sounding. I haven't heard a cat back that sounds better.

Mine did develop a rattle from something coming loose inside one of the mufflers though at low rpms...

Manzo V2, you can search ebay or amazon for it. Its a Greddy/invidia N1 knock off. I love the sound, but its getting a bit too loud for me (and my neighbors) with a catless UEL.

Mine has been through two winters full of salt and crap, still looks and sounds great. I highly recommend Manzo, if you stick with the stock header.

I think "you get what you pay for" applies here. Though it still boggles my mind how cheap some of these things are. If you consider just the materials costs to make the exhaust, not counting labor, packaging etc etc. Just the 304 piping, mufflers and flanges should cost more than what they charge for the exhaust. Simply considering that should give you an idea of its construction. If you get passable fitment and if it last longer than an X mount of usage thats all "bonus," as far as I'm concerned.

If your budget does not allow for something decent, it's a good value. Just don't expect "quality" with those price tags.

By US pricing, yes.

By China pricing, no.

Sway bars can be around $40 cost for a pair from China. Add in shipping and other stuff, and your cost can be well under $50 for unknown brands that are copied on a jig that involved no R&D.

The material they use is definitely questionable. Their "304ss" or "chromolly" definitely not ANSI standard materials. Not possible.
