Black over spray, from idiot teenager...

OK, I have some black spots, over-spray on the hood, fender and headlight on my BRZ.
Stupid teenager "Needed" to spray her bed room furniture real close to my car when it was parked in the garage.
(She denied it but have her on video, BlackVue paid off
Tried clay bar, but the black mist is caked real well in the paint.
Try brake parts cleaner maybe?

Is she cute? Try wax cleaner or some type of pure polish... Something with a mild abrasive. I'm sure someone will chime in with nail polish or acetone...

Ask for some "payment" for the damages. If she is 18, of course.

I'd be upset

If you have video I would just make her insurance pay for it. Or if hers doesnt yours might(?). However, find out how much the paint job will be because if it is lower than your deductible, if her insurance wont pay it, then you'll ahve to foot the bill.

Man that really sucks...

I would try a few repeated attempts at claying after using some mineral spirits. Mineral spirits is good for overspray and tar. Brake cleaner is a no, no IMO

A professional detailer could probably take care of it. Give her the bill.

Thanks guys, got it all removed with Lacquer Thinner.
Guys at my work suggested the stuff.
I assemble and manufacture commercial signs and the guys from paint set me up.
We got the over spray off during our 15 minute break, gave it a quick detail spray and will wash and wax later this week.

Stuff was on the windshield, chrome side fender, windshield wiper, and headlight.
As for the teenager?

I don't think anyone picked up that the teenager was your daughter...

...right?

I think there's a subreddit for this kind of stuff.

Not anymore. It got deleted after Anderson Cooper ran an exposé on it and the primary mod got doxxed and lost his job and family.

Id consider 3Ming the headlight now. The thinner probably stripped the UV protection off of the headlight. Might yellow really quickly if left exposed
