Boosted for 50,000 miles update

I've been boosted for 50k miles and have over 70k miles total on my car. I'm always thinking of the long term effect boost has on our cars. I haven't been to any track days but I do drive the car hard everyday. It's my DD and only car. I have the bare minimum for my car in regards to safety. No catch can/oil cooler etc.
I'm running the Vortech kit with a flex fuel unit. 9 psi max of boost.
My tune transition were:
Visconti tune for ~500 miles= crap. Probably ~210whp(dynojet)
FA20club for ~10,000 miles=better but still junk. ~230whp(dynojet)
Evasive Motorsport Dyno Tune~25,000 miles. 240whp(mustang dyno) ~260whp(dynoject)
Delicious Tuning with Flex Fuel(the best)~15,000 miles. 242whp(thier mustang)~274whp(dynojet) on 91oct. 284whp(mustang)~321whp(dynojet)

One thing everyone worries about is pinging. My car continuously pings under normal driving conditions, even with full e85, which is probably normal. It never pings under WOT, which it shouldn't. Everyone says pinging causes a slow death, if so, my pistons and cylinder walls are approaching their demise soon.

However, so far the car is holding up well. Still runs as smooth as I had it on day 1.
Anyone else with high mileage?

Thank you

My driving patterns are very similar to yours, I'll be going Vortech soon and this just seals the deal. This is a very useful post. I think I'll be getting the oil cooler just to be a little safer.

Why are you knocking under closed loop operation?

Just to be clear.. pinging as in knock? Are you sure it's not just the direct injection you are hearing?

I thought my ~25K with the vortech kit and small pulley was impressive, aside from changing belts till I found a good size/brand before vortech released the official belt size guide I've had no problems as well even daily driving in sub 25* weather during winter.

I don't get any knocking during closed loop operation, although the injectors and header tick away like nobodies business

Simply put, the knock limit of E85 is so high up there (especially on a DI platform) that you'll throw a rod before you detonate (IE: it's not pinging).
What is MBT?”

The car has been knocking forever. From factory tune until now. I thought it was normal. Maybe the sensor is sensitive.

Hell I had my knock sensor on another vehicle explode with knock counts simply because I had a loose transmission bolt and the washer would jangle like crazy at 3k rpm under cruise.

It happens... seen crazier stuff.
Yeah. It could be just noise. Funny thing is it happens at the most random moments while cruising. I get values up to -4.0 to -5.0 at times. Could be the spark plugs wearing out or getting fouled. I haven't switch them as yet.

@ 57k total miles now.

Been FI for more than 40k miles.

Have done 12 or so hard track days as FI (some in 100+ deg heat) and 7 or so track days before that as NA . Still going strong (crossing my fingers).

Only thing that has broke:
1. drivers side inner CV joint bearing (apparently common on this platform and not necessarily related to FI)
2. Coil Pack for cylinder 1 threw a code at last event (apparently common on this platform too NA and FI alike)
3. Stock shocks are starting to get worn out from all the tracking
4. Pre-turbo exhaust piping has melted/cracked open passenger side steering rack boot which is just an annoyance. Happened at ~55k miles. Replaced.
5. Pre-turbo exhaust piping has melted passenger sway bar bushing. Replaced.

Not bad I would say?
