I got a space saver as an optional extra. I have only had 1 flat tyre in the last 10 plus years and that was a rock through the side wall. No repair kit is going to fix that.

Cheers guys, Thanks k1 Will pick one up from you soon.

Yeah I can't believe they dropped the space saver though. I have only ever had 1 flat Tyre in my life and the wheel was shredded from a nail & was not even fixable with a puncture repair kit.

Would not want to be leaving the 86 on the side of the road for the night that is for sure!

I'm planning to get myself a Subaru 5x100 space saver, as I have no faith in the puncture repair kit, and a full size spare poking out of the boot floor is just plain ugly.

So I finally managed to track down a 135/70/17 space saver from a Subaru parts specialist for only $80! I didn't want a full size spare because they're heavier and I really hate the donut boot mat.

I needed to get a 17" STI space saver in order to clear my Brembo calipers, and these type of space savers are pretty hard to get (and expensive), as they're only from the 02-04 STI models.

They fit perfectly in the wheel well, and the boot mat sits nice and flat. Now I just need to get the spare wheel bolt to secure it.
