it seems 6*8=48 + 2 =50

8litre above maximum pointer.
10litre after fuel red light
4*8litre between 4 section of pointer. (each section 8litre)

I've had mine come on with as little as only 38L drained from the tank, but it typically comes on around 40-42L gone (so 8-10L left in the tank, since it's 50L).

It's not an exact number because of the way it works. The manual says 1.8 gal (6.8L) to be conservative and not be overconfident about remaining fuel. There's hysteresis added to the fuel light trigger otherwise it'd be blinking all the time when you accelerate at the threshold of it coming on. If you accelerate and the fuel sloshes enough that the float drops below the threshold to turn the light on, it will turn on and stay on. I've had my light come on under acceleration and when I go to fill up there would be like 3 gal (11.4L) left. If the light comes on while cruising I'll typically have only around 2 gal remaining.
