Which Cold Air Intake to buy ?

Hello everyone new just got my 2015 FRS RS1 few days ago. First car that i want to play around with a little. I hope this is the right place to ask this question. I was looking into a cold air intake and most likely an ECU. I know the ECU is another forum, but any recommendations on a cold air intake ?
Thanks in advance !

Hmm think this is in the wrong subforum, but it's ok since it's only your 2nd post.

Not sure on Dallas' laws, but there are plenty of options if you type FR-S intake into google or search button.

Perrin
Injen
Airaid
TRD
Takeda
Greddy
HKS
etc..

Do you want CARB legal, short ram, box, or true CAI? Your question is a little vague, but you will learn with time and some research... I had both Perrin and Injen. Both were nice and sounded great. Injen had a few hiccups in early productions, but I believe they fixed the kinks. Perrin had zero issues on my end and also sounded deep and throaty.

In the end it's what you want and fits your needs.

Thanks for the response, I kinda felt it was the wrong place to put ask this question but i do appreciate your advice. I really didn't want a short ram box, due to it pulling already warm air into my engine. The Perrin looks and sounds pretty nice, Install looks to be pretty involved, having to pul fenders etc. But i really like where it sits so it will get actual cold air from the fenders not the air box already under the hood.
I have a lot to learn apparently but I'm looking forward to the journey !

Have a look at the Grimspeed intake, they just finished it and running a group buy. Some interesting reading in their development thread, their intake maintains close to stock AFRs.

This car comes with a cold air intake from the factory. If you buy an aftermarket CAI you'll just end up spending hundreds of dollars for +3whp, which the ECU will quickly neuter by trying to return to stock power levels. http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticl...strations.aspx

What I've never understoopd about cai: on asphalt the coldest air in the daytime is far from the hot asphalt as possible. Look at f1 and NASCAR. The intakes are all as far off the ground as technically feasible. Only during the night or in a covered garage, ie night time drag racing or garage dyno runs is the concrete floor the coldest
