I just bought a used unichip and I can't find a website to show me a video im told to watch. My computer doesn't recognize the unichip. Can anyone toss me a link please and thankyou.

You need to request username/password for the maps to get access to the database (after registering your unichip under your name). You can also go to Unichip Wholesale (different company than Unichip.us) and get the software for free. Unichip Wholesale charges $25 for access to the maps and unichip.us doesn't.

Make sure you backup your maps from the unichip prior to remap. If the firmware is older than the update, you'll need to update firmware. Need to pay close attention to when it says to turn off and on after 3 seconds. May take a couple of tries for firmware to take. If you have a bad map flashed during remap, the Unichip will not respond to the computer and car won't start. Reflash firmware to get it working again and right away flash a known good map using remap.

Hah, I couldn't find it, but after trying everything I could I found out I had to change my comm port on the computer. Lol, now I just need to find the best tune for a stock car and im good, I think lol. Thanks for the help!

Booher, I should have a unichip on its way to me. Let me know if you feel a difference. My car is also stock. Maybe we can trade info on which maps work best for us. Cheers.

Sure, I will let you know, if I can ever get it to work. Lol. It needs a firmware update, I've followed the paperwork and video instructions. I dl the file that I need, but it doesn't save as a dss file or whatever, so when I select the right file it doesn't updte. Thoughts anyone? I can use the program, select maps, but cannot remap.

Success! Apparantly, you do not need to update the firmware. I got my two maps set up, I'll hook it up tomorrow and let you know in a few days once i log in a few miles.
