Any motorcyclist going to get one of these?

Wow, i just read about the release of the upcoming Skully startup that puts a gps system, bluetooth, and rear view camera in one helmet. I ride often myself. Anyone going to get one? Here's the article I read about.

I had a..."that will be distracting...will be stupid...the road is about escape" snarky response prepared...

But this really looks cool...

My current helmet is right at 10 years old...so I am due for a new one soon...

May have to look more into this.

Yea haha, wonder how much is it going to cost. I'm assuming between the $700 range at minimum.

There's a helmet out that does the rear view with an integrated mirror.

Not giving up my shoei, have a Bluetooth/intercom unit clipped on. Works surprisingly well for using Siri.

Here is the mirror helmet

Arais only for me, Corsair RX-7s and Vs....

I'm very analog when it comes to the bike. Most pure form of driving and I don't want any distractions to mess up the experience.

I'm usually the same way, however I wear musicians earplugs to cut down on wind noise but still hear everything.

Sometimes I'll wear in-ear headphones on a low volume if I'm just commuting to and from work. I've been considering a set of BT headsets for when the wife rides with me...

Until recently I rode with a Bluetooth integrated helmet that does most of this except the video portion, which I/m not totally sold on. Integrates with your phone for music/phone/gps, etc. (sold my last bike, not riding right now, need a new mount but still have the helmet)

Way back in the day I rode a '83 Honda Silverwing that had intercom/am/fm/cb/tape all built into the fairing and played through a plug-in helmet.

Never had an issue with either. The CB thing used to freak truckers out, they never believed it was a bike.

The heads-up display will take getting used to to keep it from being a distraction. I'd want to ride it on some very lonesome roads until I could ignore it and it didn't take my focus off the road. I could see where it would be a benefit though once you adapted to it.

I thought it was pretty cool when I first saw it, almost signed up to be a tester for it a few months back, but Ohio doesn't really have anywhere nice to ride. I think I'll be sticking with my Shoei rf-1100 though. I have a Sena SMH5 hooked up to it and that works pretty good. New helmet money doesn't exist at the moment.

No for me, I stick with top end Arai helmets. too busy concentrating when I ride anyways, and any directions I need i write on a piece of tape and put on the gas tank.
