Paint issues on hood

I have tried looking for signs from other users of similar issues with my problem but to little avail, rather that be lack of any or Google not pointing me in the right direction!

Bought my FR -S in July of 2013 (Raven). Upon washing the car I just recently noticed bubbles in the paint. They were not there before and appears to be under the clear coat... before I take it in to the dealership I was wondering if anyone else has seen or heard any talk of this issue?

The car is garage kept and waxed and detailed on a regular basis.... (the hood is the only location it is happening on)

I can get pictures up later tonight although it is hard to get the right angle!

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!

Same here. I have a small group of bubbles in my hood near the windshield. Noticed it a month after I took delivery. I personally wax my car so I'm sure it wasn't there before, otherwise I would've seen it the first couple of times I waxed it.

Thanks for showing me in the right direction ! The results do not look to good however, seems as though Toyota claims environmental damage on everybody's car with the same issue ... I'll still mention it to them the next time I'm in the dealership maybe they will get Toyota to change their minds on the subject ... lucky it is only at the top of my hood near the wipers people have it way worse

I've had bubbles on my first FRS. The dealer apologized and exchanged my FRS Stock #.

But I noticed this before I drove off the lot, but AFTER I signed the paperwork.

Yeah , hey at least you caught it early! The bubbles for me just happened within the last two weeks so I could see where it would be easy for Toyota to deny a claim for all they know it was something stupid I did.. it saves them a lot of money

It's going to depend on your dealer to be honest. If they're reputable, they'll do anything in their power to make you happy.

The FRS with bubbles went in for a new paint job to make the next customer happy because I didn't want to wait for a new paintjob LOL.

Lol yeah most dealers around me almost seem like they rather lose customers then help... I'll give it a shot though. Corporate is only one call away (if they do anything). Hopefully they tell the next guy they try selling the car to that it was repainted!

Slightly different issue on mine. There's a much larger circular faded discoloration of the paint on my hood, right above where the battery sits. No chipping or peeling, looks more like UV damage or something. Can only be seen in certain lighting/angles. I noticed it during the first wash after having the car delivered from Colorado.

Will take it to the dealer soon to see if I can get it fixed under warranty. *le sigh*
