Anything else I need with Coilovers?

Hey guys I just ordered coilovers and I'm new to this but do I need anything else to buy or can I just put the coilovers on once I get them? My buddy told me I needed a camber kit but he said I should be fine. I know after I install them ill get an alignment. thanks for the help

I ordered the megan ez street coilovers. this car is just for daily driving it wont see the track.

Fairly sure the cheapest route is whiteline camber bolts. ~$50 or so.

I believe that's the bare minimum for correct camber correction. Then you have adjustable arms or camber plates.

If you are going to lower the car you'll need either rear adjustable lower control arms or the adjustable bushings so you'll be able to adjust the camber in the rear. There is no rear camber adjustment on the stock suspension.

I'm looking to do the same, is there any adjustment in the front? Or do you have to have something for that too?

you technically don't need them. You can just put on the coilovers.

If the coilovers come with camber plates then you can adjust with those. If you are looking at a set up like KWs then you will need either the whiteline bolts or something like vorshlagg camber plates to adjust camber in the front

only fronts. When i lowered my car with my swift springs it naturally gave me around -2.3 on both sides which im fine with. Fronts i only got around -1.5 with the camber bolts.

I was just told this as well. I am new to the suspension game.

Rears need something aftermarket. I'll be going with SPL for my adjustable components.

By dropping the car, you are creating negative camber. This will further go negative the further you go down. If you run wider wheels/tires at any time, you will potentially rub without the ability to adjust. Also, if you have a desired height that is pretty low, you might want to be able to adjust them to a more practical camber setting to avoid unnecessary camber wear and adverse handling characteristics.

Either way, Camber bolts are a crude way to adjust. Choose a coilover setup with camber plates or buy on a set of adjustable arms. That is for the front. For the rear, you need lower or upper control arms. Upper will cost more, but if you care about scrub radius, its a better bet. Lower arms do the same thing, but affect scrub radius. for 99% of people lower arms will work fine for less money. I personally have RacerX Fabrication first batch arms and love them. They just started making them with aluminum now which saves even more weight, and they offer custom powercoating options. ( mine are sonic purple)
