So on Wednesday I'm going to be getting a FR-S... and was wondering what your thoughts were on some of the addons that Scion offers.
After doing some research around this forum, I am definitely getting the fog lights addon. However, I have no idea whether I should pick up the rear spoiler addon for $399? What are your thoughts on this? As for TRD Performance Exhaust, and TRD performance air intake - I'm thinking about using something aftermarket like perrin or greddy and taking care of those performance upgrades by myself after purchasing the car. I would appreciate any feedback/suggestions as the last thing I want is to purchase an FR-S only to be disappointed with my decisions with the addons later down the road. Thank you for your time. |

I opted for the oem spoiler and now I regret it. It seems all FRS around here have it so its not that unique. I'm going to jump on a TRD as soon as I find a good deal. Fog lights were not available when I got the car so I opted for the led accents and now those are gone with fogs that I got for way less than half of what dealers want for fogs now.
I got the TRD exhaust and CAI but I installed those after buying the car. Really happy with them but I'm sure you can find other equivalents that are cheaper.

Drive, get what you want at time of purchase since you don't pay labor that way. Plus no worries about warranty with trd parts. And spoiler is a must in my opinion

I wouldn't add anything on. The mark up is absurd. You have way better options out there.
Oh yea I'm selling my spoiler for $250. ![]()

Would you guys say the TRD performance dual exhaust for $1100 and the TRD intake for $475 is worth the money?

Dealer accessories are ALWAYS expensive. If you want the FRS Spoiler, find one on Ebay, and then take it to a body shop to get it paint matched. It'll be cheaper than buying one from the dealer pre-painted. You can get other exhausts for 1100 as well... unless you're deadset on the TRD one. 475 dollars for an intake is crazy.... |

Here is a good review of the exhaust [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7MJgw7AyAU"]TRD Exhaust and Intake Review - Scion FR-S - YouTube[/ame] I agree with what he says and that is what I need. The CAI is pretty solid but try to find it for less than $475. Easy to install.

I got the TRD Exhaust and recently I added the A'PEXi drop in filter for $50. IMO better than the TRD CAI.

There are numerous other aftermarket spoilers in the same price range that look way better - plus if you really wanted the stock spoiler, I'm sure you could always get one installed later on, and that's one less thing you have to finance. |

@Drive - I did install the add on spoiler on my 10th series and I regret it since. IMO, you should not add that on. TRD or Five Axis's spoilers look better on our car than the OEM's one. In addition, there is no drilling into the trunk to install TRD, Five Axis's spoilers vs I now have few holes on the trunk if I want to remove the OEM's spoiler.
